Our Louisa Respite and Enrichment Center is a day program for seniors in our community. Your day may consist of arts and crafts, nail painting, puzzles, game time or hearing stories from awesome adults who have lived in this community for the majority of their lives.
We offer a Monday- Friday schedule, no weekends, evenings or Holidays as well as a competitive compensation and benefits package.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Current certifications in CPR and First Aid or completed within the first 6 months.
• 40 hours of direct care training or willingness to complete within the first 90 days of employment.
• Experience with and/or willingness to learn about older adults and their special needs, as well as individuals with a developmental/intellectual disability.
• Physical capacity necessary to assist and support clients (able to lift 30#), good physical coordination to demonstrate or participate in recreational activities.
• Computer skills required.
• Record of program accountability, reliable, and leadership, demonstrate sound judgment, flexibility, and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Patience, tact, and persuasion when working with people who have a variety of special needs, able to demonstrate ingenuity, a sense of humor, and imagination to adapt activities to individual needs.
• Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate appropriate skills in delegation, planning of, preparation for, and carrying out of activities.
• Clear police background check per state regulation
